The adoption process starts with a telephone interview. Once the person is approved to adopt, they are sent a contract by email. The contract is then printed out, and filled out by the buyer, and sent to me with a deposit to hold the puppy until the puppy reaches the age which it can go to its new home. People get to choose the puppy in the order that I receive the deposit. I normally wait til after the litter is born to start receiving deposits. The puppy is able to leave for its new home, when it is around 8 weeks old. The puppy will be dewormed and have its first vaccinations before leaving. The remaining amount of the purchase price is paid in cash at the time that the puppy is picked up. When the puppy is picked up, you will receive a copy of the contract and a copy of the health records. If the puppy is an AKC puppy, you will also receive the AKC registration papers, with limited registration. I do not sell breeding rights, and only sell with a spay/neuter contract. I offer a health guarantee, and life time breeder support. I do not allow people to visit the puppies, until they have had their first shots, at 6 weeks old. The reason for that, is to protect the puppies from illnesses, some of which can be fatal. In the meantime, I try to keep my website updated with pictures and video's of the puppies as they grow, for people to be able to see them. In order to help prevent the transmission of disease, and for other safety reasons, I do not allow people to bring their other pets onto the property.
UPDATE: Because of Covid, the puppies will be picked out virtually, through photo's, video's, and video calls through Facebook Messenger.
